Sovngarde

Sovngarde is a rugged serif font inspired by Norse mythology.

This project began in 2016 with the release of Sovngarde as a font replacement mod for Skyrim, inspired by the title font of the game and designed by hand using FontForge. It since grew to serve millions of players across 8 supported languages (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish & Russian).

This standalone release celebrates 9 years of serving creatives in the Elder Scrolls community with an updated SIL OFL V1.1 license without a reserved font name to ensure it can be freely forked, distributed, upgraded, and expanded upon by anyone in the years to come under the same license.
